I’m a freelance journalist, avid reader and writer with something of a magazine addiction. I’ve always loved everything about them—the colorful images, the imaginative use of typography, the glossy feel, the easy exchange of ideas and tips, and above all, their power to inspire, motivate and enchant the reader.

As a teenager, it was my ambition to someday become a writer. I landed in New York City (the publishing capital of the world) by way of Michigan, where I was born and raised. Throughout my varied career, I’ve been a manuscript editor, a managing editor and helped launch a magazine for women entrepreneurs. Early on, I even fact-checked The Information Please Almanac—all 1,000 pages. But I always returned to writing.

My strong publishing background makes me a better writer. I pay attention to details… I’m a stickler for accuracy... I respect deadlines... I thrive on teamwork… I’m easy to work with... And I’m always happy to go the extra mile.
